Basics

There are many dungeons located throughout the world where you will be able to fight powerful monsters for great rewards. The entrance to dungeons can be identified by a swirling portal. Because the dungeons are challenging, you will need to bring five friends with you to defeat the monsters within.

Each dungeon is “instanced” so that each party enters their own private version of the dungeon. This means that you will only be able to see your party members in the dungeon, and you won’t be able to see members of another party that are in the same dungeon at the same time.

Dungeons have a wealth of quests, loot, and unique monsters. Each dungeon typically has three or more bosses that drop weapons or pieces of armour that are better than other items of the same level.

Heroics

When you reach level forty you will be able to enter heroic versions of the dungeons. These versions contain even more powerful monsters than the regular versions of the dungeons, but they contain even greater rewards. Each heroic dungeon can only be completed once per day.

You will only have access to one heroic dungeon at first. You will need to obtain reputation with the Adventurers’ faction before other heroic dungeons will be unlocked. You can gain this reputation by completing heroic dungeons that you already have access to.

Raids

There are larger dungeons with extremely difficult monsters but amazing rewards. These dungeons can hold up to twenty-four players, or four groups of six players that join a special group called a raid. Like all dungeons, these larger dungeons are “instanced” so that each raid enters their own private version of the dungeon.

There are currently three separate raids in Sarnaut, their difficulty based on differing levels. The first you will encounter is on the dreaded Isle of the Dead, where you will come head-to-head with Tep’s most destructive creation, Genoer the Devourer. Other raids will require you to gather a raid and enter into the dreaded Gorluxor’s Tower to face a host of enemies.

These should prepare you for your first visit to Dead City at the very highest level, we say should, but we know nothing can prepare a player for what awaits them there.
