Allods

By creating an account at the gPotato.eu portal, you agree to follow the rules outlined below.

Failure to comply with the rules means the gPotato team reserves the right to exclude an account from the game, forum and website and depending on the severity of the case, the right to legal action.

Account Hacking

The gPotato Team defines the term "hacking" as follows: The act of creating and/or distributing malicious software with the intent of breaching a system or account without the users consent. Malware comes in different forms – viruses, trojans, spyware, adware and other malicious or unwanted software.

It is important to know that the gPotato Team does not deem an account as "hacked" when the account loss is caused by negligent circulation of the account data. The security of the characters in an account and the account itself lies solely with its owner.

Individuals who take part in such activities as the ones stated above will be penalized at the gPotato team’s discretion and exclusion from the game and/or the forum and the portal is also possible.

Account Sharing

The transfer of access data to third parties, as well as the sharing of an account, is prohibited. The owner is responsible for any action that may take place on his account. In an event of account sharing, the owner of the account will be penalized at the gPotato team’s discretion and exclusion from the game and/or the forum and website is possible. Furthermore, the person loses the right of support from the gPotato team.

Important Note: Game Masters (GMs) will never ask you for your account password.

Harassment / Insult / Defamation / Intended Fraud

If such an occurrence is made towards another player or a Game Master, penalty will be exclusion from the game, the forum and the portal for up to 3 days. Depending on the severity of the case further action may be taken. You cannot use an altered screenshot and/or screenshots which contain partial conversations to support any accusations made. If any form of insult and/or harassment is made by you, you also will be penalized.

Threatening

In the event a player expresses threats towards another player or a Game Master, this player will be excluded from the game, the forum and the portal for an indefinite number of days depending on the gPotato team’s discretion. In the event of a reoccurrence, this can lead to a permanent exclusion.

When a person sends us a threat made in-game, the complete conversation needs to be present in the screenshot. You cannot use an altered screenshot and/or screenshots which contain partial conversation to support any accusations made. If any form of insult and/or harassment is made by you, you also will be penalized.

Begging GMs

Refrain from asking GMs for objects, tricks, money or any other kind of special treatment. You will not receive it. In the event that a person makes this kind of request to a GM, this person may be excluded from the game, the forum and the portal for 3 days.

Griefing

It is prohibited to willingly interfere with another players’ enjoyment of the game. This includes the repeated attacking of any particular NPC/Monster with the purpose to disrupt play (or continuation of quests). Players who feel they are the subject of griefing should document it using screenshots and pass this information to a Game master. Punishment for griefing may include exclusion from Allods Online, the Official Forums, and our portal gPotato.eu.

Blocking of NPCs

Players who intentionally disrupt access to an NPC may be excluded from Allods Online, the Official Forums, and our portal gPotato.eu. Further violations may lead to a permanent exclusion.

Duping / Exploits / Bug Using

Any attempt to use a fault in the game which may give you or others an advantage will be penalized at the gPotato team’s discretion. Up to and including permanent exclusion from the game, the forum, and the portal.

False Reports

Any attempt to cause harm to another player by falsely reporting them as in breach of the rules, may result in exclusion from the game, the forums and the portal for 3 days. In the event of reoccurrence, this can lead to a permanent exclusion.

Impersonation

In the event that someone falsely claims to be a Game Master (GM), a member of the gPotato team or someone who acts on their behalf, as well as any attempt to acquire user data in this manner, will result in permanent exclusion from Allods Online, the Official Forums, and our portal gPotato.eu.

GM Tooling

Any player who threatens other players with the notion that a "befriended" GM will perform any action on their account will be excluded from Allods Online, the Official Forums, and our portal gPotato.eu. In the event of reoccurrence, this can lead to a permanent exclusion.

GMs will never misuse their abilities in order to help or give an advantage to a particular player.

GM Instructions

Any request or order made by a Game Master (GM) on the servers must be followed at once. Players who do not follow these instructions will be excluded from Allods Online, the Official Forums, and our portal gPotato.eu.

Hacking / Using third party programs

Any attempt to cause damage to the function of the server, to decode data, or to use any kind of third party programs to cause harm or gain advantage for oneself or others will result in permanent exclusion from Allods Online, the Official Forums, and our portal gPotato.eu.

In-game Names

• Use the following criteria when creating a character
• Name cannot be longer than 13 characters
• Name cannot be shorter than 4 characters
• First letter becomes capital automatically (like a character name) and other letters become lower case. The exception are abbreviations, which can contain only uppercase letters.
• The name cannot contain any special characters.
• There cannot be more than 3 vowels running
• The name cannot contain only consonants
• The name cannot contain only vowels

• Guild name cannot be longer than 30 characters
• Guild name cannot be shorter than 3 characters
• First letter becomes capital automatically (like a character name) and other letters become lower case. The exception are abbreviations, which can contain only uppercase letters.
• Hyphen is allowed, but there can be only one hyphen in Guild name; the letter after hyphen becomes capital automatically; hyphen cannot be first or last character in Guild name.
• Space is allowed, it cannot be first or last character in Guild name and cannot be more than 1 space running.
• Other symbols are forbidden (figures, underline, numbers etc.)
• There cannot be more than 4 vowels running, except abbreviations
• Guild name cannot contain only consonants, except abbreviations

• A name may be considered inappropriate for any of the following reasons
• Names which imply allude to paedophilia, sexual violence, the glorification of violence, or which make reference to erotic and/or sexual terms and/or areas.
• Racist, spiteful, nasty names, in addition to names which are intended as insults and names which may be construed as racial slurs.
• Particular historical names with racist connotations.
• Names of employees of WEBZEN Dublin Ltd., of GMs or similar.
• Names which bear resemblance (written or phonetically) to the name of a GM.
• Names which are copyrighted

A breach of these rules will lead to the renaming of your character, and eventually an exclusion from the game, the forum and the portal. In the case of a reoccurrence, this can lead to permanent exclusion.

The decision of whether or not a name complies with these rules lies solely with the Game Masters and the gPotato team at all times. The gPotato team also reserves the right to change a name. If a player notices that his name does not adhere to these rules and contacts the gPotato team immediately, he will not be excluded from the game and the name will be changed.

Racism

The distribution of any kind of racism will lead to the immediate exclusion from Allods Online, the Official Forums, and our portal gPotato.eu.

If a player wants to inform us of racism, the whole conversation needs to be visible in the screenshot. You cannot use an altered screenshot and/or screenshots which contain partial conversations to support any accusations made.

Sexual Harassment

If a player makes insulting references to the sexual orientation of others, or if a player asks/invites another player to perform "cybersex", they will be subject to permanent exclusion from Allods Online, the Official Forums, and our portal gPotato.eu.

Suggestions or attempts to invite underage players to sexual activities of any kind will result in permanent exclusion from the game, the forum and the website.

Spamming / Flooding

Individuals who spam/flood the chat window will be excluded from the game, the forum and the website at the gPotato team’s discretion. In the event of a recurrence, this will lead to longer exclusion phases.

Circulation of dangerous websites or programs

It is prohibited to circulate links to illegal, dangerous or damaging websites. This includes so-called Goldseller sites (which demonstrate a breach of our terms of use), Phishing sites (websites which ask the visitor to enter their account details) and pages which contain information about illegal activities. Breach of this rule will result in suspension from the game, the forum and the website.

Selling and/or Buying on Ebay/Auctions

Character or account buying/selling that involves real money (including paysafecard codes and any currency outside of the game) is prohibited. As stated in our terms of service, the transfer of the contents from one account to another is not possible. Offering to do so will result in permanent exclusion from Allods Online, the Official Forums, and our portal gPotato.eu.

Advertising

It is prohibited to advertise wihtin Allods Online for any non-game related events, business, or companies of any kind. This can result in exclusion from Allods Online, the Official Forums, and our portal gPotato.eu.

gPotato Refund

We do not reimburse users for gPotato or Allods Boutique items which have already been purchased if the player has broken the rules. The instructions of the Game Master (GM) are to be followed. In the event of an account being blocked due to breach of rules, the owner loses any claim to the gPotato and Allods Boutique items which have already been acquired.

The list presented here is not complete and the gPotato team reserves the right to change this list at any time without prior notice. The rules are in place in order to give the players the most enjoyable game-experience possible.

Any information about the breaching of rules will be handled anonymously. However, we reserve the right not to disclose any information about if and how the player was penalized.

In the event of an account being blocked, we are not required to give any explanation, reason or proof for our actions. We do not need to inform the account owner of why we are blocking the account.
